We can encounter pain at any time. Each difficulty we experience can have similar consequences. From our distress, our attitudes can become bitter or better. It is a choice we have to make, but sometimes we find ourselves lost in the hurt and falling into bitterness. Our faith may waver as we wonder if God is listening to our earnest prayers for deliverance from suffering. During this period, we can lose sight of hope.
Nonetheless, we serve a great God, who wants to take our burdens from us (Psalm 55:22). We do not have to travel the road alone. God loves us and desires us to surrender all our issues to Him. As we let go of our hardships in prayer, the Lord can give us a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We can remain content (Philippians 4:11-13), knowing our God will support us as we go through tough times.
