Everyone experiences fear at some point, and some people may suffer from multiple fears. But here is the good news, you can conquer fear! While it takes boldness to overcome your fears, working at it and asking for God’s help is a great starting point. Try these six steps to begin overcoming fear and building courage.
1. Let them Go
Surrender your fears and worries to Jesus (1 Peter 5:7).
Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
– 1 PETER 5:7 (ESV)
2. Pray
Seek the Lord and believe He will answer you and deliver you from your fears.
I sought the Lord, and he answered me
and delivered me from all my fears. – Psalm 34:4 (ESV)
3. Read the Bible
Encourage yourself by reading Bible verses (Matthew 10:31).
4. Meditate on the Word of God
Constantly think upon the word of God (Read Joshua 1:8-9).
5. Recall Past Victories
Like David, remember the past victories that the Lord has given you (Samuel 17:37).
6. Trust God
Place your trust in God and focus on Him, rather than any issues that trouble the mind.
